Travel - Route Planner App Reviews

I needed an app that would show me the destinations I want when planning a trip. Travel=Route Planner does that. I needed the app to include details of each location, for example, monuments or other attractions to visit. Travel-Route Planner does that. I needed to rearrange the ORDER of the destinations to my preference, after listing them all. Travel-Route Planner does that. Moreover, it shows me mileage and possible arrival/departure times under the schedule I select (how many nights in any 1 place for example). I wish it would print out the map along with the list printout. All in all, however, this is quite handy. I *don’t* understand other users’ problems with the app, since I didn’t have a single problem loading and using it out of the gate.

On OS X (10.8.4) the application simply does not launch… No support available

Absolutely terrible. No guidance or real help in using. Should not have been allowed as an item for sale.

Although it is good for mapping your route and giving a time frame for each leg of the journey; there is no help for lodging, rest stops, or fuel.

try to use it once. not very usefull.

It should of never even be released. They should look at Microsoft Streets and Trips

this app works great. easy to use and accurate however, I have one complaint. I downloaded the app onto my phone as well but it would not let me transfger the fiile I made in the app on my computer to the app on my phone. A real pisser in the end as we were trying to have less paper copies of everything. And, I dont have the time to sit here and retypr everything into the stupid phone app that I had in the computer app. Frustrating, perhaps with your next update you can make it easier to use on both devices? I can export the file from the computer but then it wont let you open it after???

This information is readily available on the internet. Im pretty sure I will be the only idiot that purchases this app. Dont even think about it.

Simple tool, from a first look, but it keeps surprising me by the usefulness of its deeper functions, like gas estimation or ticket search. Highly recommended!

The interface is buggy on a Retina macbook pro. Im planning a 8000 mile road trip and it will not serve my basic purpose of planning out how many days it will take to travel to 30 stops along the way. I need the ability to make a depart from a destination "+5 hours" after arrival or similar. Any changes made at the start should cascade for the whole trip. Simple rules would be nice, like not driving through the night. I would love my $4 back.

Currently, this is the only software on travel directions specific for the Apple that I could find. It was disappointing and not worth even the $3.99 price. The problem with the software was that the user cannot enter a speciific street address, only a city/town name. If I want exact directions from one address to another, this is not available with this software. This software does give overall mileage and vague directions with a map. I did like the ability to move the map locations by dragging it with the curser. I did expect an application at least as good as MapQuest which is available for free. For many years I used a Rand McNally Route Planner software with my PC which was easy to use and gave excellent directions both written and visually. This software is not available for the Mac which I found disappointing. Hopefully, this will change soon.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I JUST SPENT 4 BUCKS!! I would feel better if I just gave it to someone who needed it but I bought this money trap. Difficult to navigate, very limited, very small screen. Adustments are not user friendly and its slow. Anyone who thinks this app is great obviously havent used the regular free ones on the internet like MapQuest, Google Maps etc. or even the Maps app on your iPhone is better than this. I realize this is just a route planner but it is lame. Im not satisfied and wish I could get the time I spent messing around with this back. Dont buy this app.

By far the worst App Ive purchased over the years. Apple should have some sort of quality review of applications they allow developers to put on Apps store. Disappointing I wasted $3.99 on this App.

I really liked the idea since I am planning a long trip; and bought right away (I wish I had read the reviews). - Impossible to even choose a state the city is in, so if you are going to a city that has several omonymus cities around the U.S. (Greenville for example theres one in Florida, one in Georgia, one in Alabama), well.. good luck finding the right one. - The total mileage is somehow really messed up (my total trip would be about 814 miles but the app shows it in the stats as over 1400 miles?!?!?) - It is impossible to change car mileage per gallon rate - it is set at 35mpg and even though you can write a new number in the box the application will not accept it. Well.. I was excited but I removed the application and Ill keep planning on google maps I guess. I still would like my $3.99 back :(

Pretty much a waste of time

So I spend $4 for an app that wont even let me print out any of the information Ive entered, or at least export it in a format that I can access anywhere else? Id like a refund or a major update fast.
